Why Does Our Honey Sell Out?

It is not by accident and it is not something we try to fix.

At The Yorkshire Beekeeper, we keep things small, local and responsible. We never overload an area with hives because wild pollinators like solitary bees, butterflies and hoverflies need space to thrive too. Working with nature always comes first.

Our apiaries are carefully chosen and deliberately small. Different locations bring different plants, and those plants create distinct flavour profiles in every batch of honey.

It also means we can only produce what our bees naturally make, from the landscapes around them.

• No buying honey in.

• No blending to create a uniform supply.

• Just our bees, in North Yorkshire, doing what they do best.

So when a batch sells out, that is simply the season coming to an end for that particular honey.

If it has our name on the jar, it is our honey. From our bees, our apiaries and our landscape. Nothing else.

Real honey is shaped by nature, and nature does not work to unlimited supply.
