Lyson 9 frame Langstroth queen excluder frame
Lyson 9 frame Langstroth queen excluder frame

Made from cedar
Wood frame suitable for Lyson 9 frame poly Langstroth hives.
This design is fully rebated so will lock in place, exactly the same as the boxes on the Lyson 9 frame poly Langstroth hive.
The frame lifts the queen excluder up from the top of the frames, meaning you don't have to smoke the bees down when installing the queen excluder.
There is a single bee space between the bottom of the excluder and the top of the frames, as well as single bee space between the top of the excluder and the bottom of the frames above, therefore far less chance of crushing bees.
The bees have full excluder surface area to work, rather than just the gaps between frames to move up and down from the brood nest and supers.
You are also able to remove the supers while holding the queen excluder in place. Without the frame, the bees often propolise and stick the excluder to the bottom of the box that is immediately above the excluder - very frustrating! This frame solves that problem!
