Our 2026 mated queens are produced from our carefully selected, locally adapted stock that has thrived in our Yorkshire Dales conditions.

With an emphasis on colony temperament, performance and resilience, these queens are reared to support strong, manageable colonies well suited to the UK climate.

While 2026 is the first year The Yorkshire Beekeeper has offered mated queens for sale, queen rearing is not new to us. Matthew has been grafting and raising queens for several years, using stock bred and selected within our own apiaries to support the growth and development of the business.

To maintain the high standards of our queen-rearing, availability for the 2026 season is very limited and available by collection only.
